Education and Outreach

OUR MISSION To enrich and transform Rhode Island and our region through great music performance and education.

The nurturing environment of the Philharmonic Music School actively encourages lifelong involvement with music for all people in Southeastern New England by offering quality music performance and education opportunities. The Philharmonic Music School is the largest nonprofit community music school in the State; we work with over 2,500 students every week. The Philharmonic Music School is a member of the 230-school National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts.

The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra & Music School is truly one of the cultural jewels of Southeastern New England. As a non-profit education organization, we are committed to providing the community with access to exceptional music instruction, classes and music therapy. To continue to provide our music education and community partnership programs, we rely on the generous support of individuals, corporations and foundations. Earned revenue, (ticket sales, tuition, etc.) covers only half our operational expenses. Please support our efforts in providing our community with wonderful classical music and music education programs.
